山东师范大学坐落在历史文化名城济南，是一所学科专业齐全、学位体系完备、师资人才充沛、社会声誉优良的综合性高等师范院校。学校是教育部首批外国留学生定点招生单位、首批孔子学院奖学金生接收院校、联合招收华侨、港澳台地区学生单位，与32个国家和地区的160余所院校建立校际交流合作关系。在韩国、肯尼亚、巴西、沙特、俄罗斯、加拿大合作建设6所孔子学院（含1所独立孔子课堂），是全国承办孔子学院数量较多的高校之一。

Shandong Normal University (SDNU in brief) is located in the historical and cultural city, Jinan, the capital city of Shandong Province. It is a comprehensive and advanced normal university which has gained an excellent social reputation with various subjects and majors, a complete degree system, and abundant teaching talents. SDNU has received approval by the Ministry of Education for the first batch of designated enrollment of foreign students, with the joint recruitment of overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students, and establishes inter-school exchanges and cooperation with more than 160 institutions in 32 countries and regions. SDNU is one of the Chinese universities which established the most Confucius Institutes. It has established 6 Confucius Institutes (including 1 Confucius Classroom) in Korea, Kenya, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Canada.
SDNU began to accept international students as early as in 1983. Over the past 40 years, it has cultivated more than 20,000 long and short students from more than 70 countries and regions. College of International Education at Shandong Normal University (CIE/SDNU in brief) is teaching-and-administrative-oriented, which mainly aims at accepting and educating international students.
